A Hollow Concrete Block (HCB) is a precast masonry unit made of cement, aggregate, and water, cast into a rectangular shape with hollow cores. These blocks are lightweight compared to solid blocks, provide excellent thermal and sound insulation, and reduce construction costs due to their larger size and ease of installation.
Key Features:
• Shape: Rectangular with one or more hollow cavities.
• Surface Finish: Smooth, fair-faced (for plastering/painting), or textured (for exposed work).
• Colour: Natural grey, or pigmented with mineral oxides for aesthetic purposes.
• Hollow Cores: Typically cover 25%–50% of the block’s volume, reducing weight and improving insulation.
